"Rooting" in linux operating systems stands for gaining root access (Super User)
(Equivalent to Administrator access in windows operating systems)
Since Android system is developed from linux kernel, the same concept of "Rooting" is present
Some Android Applications (Example: Android AdFree) require "root access"
Smart-Phones with android systems come (as default) without root access, so you will have to grant root access to use such applications..
Happily, there are windows applications that - with one click - will grant your android smartphone root access
I'll be explaining how to root your android device using an application called "Kingo Android Root"
Note: Rooting is dangerous, if you do it wrong, you might "brick" your smartphone
Brick: making your smartphone equivalent to a "brick" .. meaning it will be a useless piece of material.
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
First step, download "Kingo Android Root" from its official website
Download here: http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root/download.htm
After you download and install "Kingo Android Root", launch the application
Open your android device's settings
Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging
Enable "USB Debugging" and connect your andriod device to your PC using the USB Cable
Wait until the drivers for your android device are defined, you will be asked to disconnect your device
Disconnect your device and Reconnect it once again
"ROOT" Button will appear!
Click Root and wait for the process to complete
Congratulations, your Android SmartPhone is now "Rooted" !
Notice: You must recharge your battery to its full level to prevent it from shutting down during the process.
