Internet Plans in Egypt

Created: Friday, 20 December 2013 Written by Ehab Eldeeb

Which is better .. ADSL or USB Modem?

What internet plan should I use?

Well, each of them has some advantages and some disadvantages

In this post, we will talk about ALL internet service providers (ISP's) in Egypt

First: Internet Plans with ADSL Modems (Routers)

There are two main Internet Service Providers (ISP's) in Egypt .. LinkDSL and TEData.

LinkDSL

LinkDSL provides "LinkSpeed" Limited service

You get a "download quota", which is your download limit, you can extend it when you use it all by paying extra fees

The chart below shows the speed and price plans

TEData

TEData provides "Tal2a" Limited service

You get a "download quota", which is your download limit, you can extend it when you use it all by paying extra fees

The chart below shows the speed and price plans

Conclusion

LinkDSL is cheaper than TEData, but TEData should provide more speed if your telephone line can support it.

Second: Internet Plans with USB Modems

There are three main providers in Egypt .. Mobinil, Vodafone and Etisalat.

Mobinil

Vodafone

Etisalat

Conclusion

They are almost the same, but your speed depends on the mobile network in your area

Final Conclusion

ADSL gives much more speeds, but can be used only at home.

USB Modem gives average browsing speed, and a limited download speed .. and it can be used anywhere, at home our outside.

The choice is yours!
